Mrs. VanCleave's Class

Below you will find a list of each job, along with the job description.  You will have a weekly salary that we will come up with as a class.  The salary will vary per job depending on how much work or how difficult the job is.  

 

Students that do not fulfill their job correctly, will not be paid at the end of the week.  

 

* Line Leader- You are in charge of leading our class down the hall.  You must show perfect behavior in the hallway.  Our entire class is looking at you to set the example.  You get to enjoy the "Big Joe" chair for the week in the library.

 

* Door Holder- The second person in line.  You are to hold the door open for our entire class.  Once everyone has left the room it is your job to turn off the light.  Once you have done this, our line will hold your spot for you.  PLEASE do not run to get to your spot, this would not show good behavior in the hallway.

 

* Substitute- You are pretty much Mrs. VanCleave’s mini-me.  If she needs you for any reason, you are her right-hand “man”. 

If Mrs. VanCleave happens to be out for the day, you are in charge of helping the substitute understand what happens in our classroom.  

 

* Lunch Count- You are to count the lunch choices, mark it on the paper in the chart. You are to collect any lunch money and record it on the chart. Then take the lunch count down to the office. If our class recieves a green cup in the lunch room you need to record it on the chart next to the door.

 

* Desk Checker- You are to make sure that everyone has a clean desk- top to bottom- at the end of the day.  

 

 * Sharpener- At the beginning of the day, before announcements, you are to come in and sharpen all the pencils in the unsharpened cup. You will also empty the sharpener. 

 

* Librarian- You are to make sure that our classroom library is nice and tidy at the end of the day. Books should be put in the correct drawers.  

 

* Sweeper- You are to set the trash can and recycling right outside our classroom door at the end of the day.
